Honouring the Elderly

Before there was us, there were them.

Elders are not passive recipients of care. They are custodians of history, wisdom, sacrifice and community.

An elder

Our elders are not an anonymous category. They are people with names, work, sacrifice, humour, memory and stories. BMF will build this page as a living archive of those who taught, nursed, worked, parented, served, organised, prayed, cared and carried communities forward.

We recognise retired teachers, nurses, police officers, workers, caregivers, parents, church elders, community builders and ordinary people whose contributions may never appear in official histories.

Give people their flowers while they can still receive them — and give recognition meaning.
